Sample Text 2
The human heart and the circulatory system is
one of the most important systems of the body.
The purpose of the circulatory system is to
transport oxygen and nutrients to the body and
to remove wastes and other byproducts from the
body via the veins to the kidneys for filtration.
One other important function of the circulatory
system is to transport hormones that regulate our
body's metabolism and control other parts.
The function of the heart is to pump the blood
through the veins and arteries. The heart is
made up of very strong muscles that can contract
themselves without the need of the brain to neurons
inside the heart muscles.
Sample Text 3
The heart is the main pump in the body that
supplies the rest of the body with oxygenated
blood by way of the arteries. There is a reaction
that takes place at the ends of the arteries
where the oxygen is taken out of the blood and
replaced with CO2. This reaction takes place
in the capillaries. The arteries branch to
become smaller and more numerous, these are then
called arterioles. The arterioles again branch
and lead to the capillaries. After the exchange
of CO 2 and O2 in the capillaries, the blood
flows to venules (branches of veins) and then
to veins which will carry this deoxygenated blood
back to the heart.
All the veins enter into two large veins, the
superior and inferior vena cava. The vena cava
enter the right atrium of the heart. Then the
blood flows into the right ventricle but is not
allowed to pass back into the right atrium because
of the right atrioventricular valve. The blood
is then pumped into the pulmonary artery which
takes the blood to the lungs.
