Comments:We are attempting to model moral identity in adolescents with a semantic space approach to self and personality. The goal is to establish a domain of m oral vocabulary from exemplary kids that would serve as prototypes of morality suitable for use in a self-report instrument. We had been in dialogue with Curt Burgess at U C Riverside to use HAL for this purpose, however, he has been highly possessive of HAL and reluctant to help facilitate this research. LSA appears to provide an even more powerful alternative in its ability to model contextually-derived meaning for word-phrase comparisons instead of just word-word. We look forward to the potential of applyi ng LSA in social psychological research with adolescents. Bravo on an outstanding website. KSR
